Saccomanno Fluid is a general purpose cytology fixative especially suited for upper respiratory tract specimens - most notably, sputum.
Overview
- Ready-to-use fixative is an alcohol and polyethylene glycol (Carbowax™) solution
- Permits storage of specimens for weeks
- Prevents air-drying artifact
- Clear containers and tinted solution make specimen identification easy
- Each prefilled container is labeled with a “do not drink” warning
