Elastic Stain Kit
Elastic Stain is based on the Verhoeff Elastic technique. It is used to demonstrate the atrophy, thinning and loss of elastic tissue
Overview
- Also used for identifying the breaks, splitting and reduplication of elastic lamellae that occur in vascular diseases
- Elastic fibers are stained blue-black to black with red collagen and a yellow background
- Kit contains Alcoholic Hematoxylin Solution, Ferric Chloride Solution, Weigert’s Iodine Solution, Sodium Thiosulfate Solution and Van Gieson Stain Solution
