Primary Antibodies
Collagen VII Ab-1 (Clone LH7.2) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Ab-1 shows no cross-reaction with Type I, II, III, IV, and V collagens, laminin, and fibronectin. It reacts with the basement membrane zone of stratified squamous epithelia. Ab-1 is useful in differentiating invasive from noninvasive melanoma through clear visualization of appearance and integrity of epidermal basement membrane. Ab-1 is also helpful in the identification of recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB) in which Type VII collagen is defective.
